Dialoguing

We foster a lively and friendly dialogue with representatives of the great world cultures, professors, students, theologians, men and women of field experience and others who have a specific contribution to make in the formulation of new perspectives of hope. Our dialogue is inspired by African village meetings under the palaver tree, driven by a common search for what is real, true and good, welcoming the contribution of each member of the community and respecting his or her freedom and identity.

Our dialoguing activity pursues a dual purpose:

  • Advancing in our common search for what is real, true and good - a progress that will help us disentangle ourselves from the unhealthy ambivalence of the global culture.
  • Building networks of friends: we believe dialogue leads to friendship and vice versa.

Our dialogue may involve the launching of projects on themes such as universality, the meaning and implementation of subsidiarity, the law of nature, the consensus process, self-determination, real people-centred development.
